Matt Mikkelsen, "Quiet Mind: Soundscape Conservation on the Olympic Peninsula" [Chimacum]

Where: Finnriver Cider Garden, 124 Center Road, Chimacum, WA 98325.

“Matthew Mikkelsen is a filmmaker and audiophile who has been working with Gordon Hempton [Gordan Hempton and John Grossman are authors of the book One Square Inch of Silence] on the One Square Inch of Silence project, which began in the Hoh Rain Forest of Olympic National Park. Setting out to find possibly the quietest place in the United States, Hempton and Mikkelsen have traveled the world promoting sound ecology and environmental conservation, sharing a little piece of the Olympic Peninsula as a symbol of what can happen when we just listen.”

“Program to start at 6pm in the Tasting Porch (newly enclosed & heated!)
