Running with Whales (SEA Discovery Center, Poulsbo)

Nan Woodman will be doing a presentation on Humpback Whales at the Sea Discovery Center in Poulsbo on 28 June 2017 at 6 PM. Nan has been a member of expeditions that placed crittercams on whales, and she has some outstanding film footage to show.

(This is the first in a new weekly summer lecture series that will occur on Wednesdays at 6 PM at the SEA Discovery Center in Poulsbo. The lectures are free and open to the public).

"Running with Whales"  presented by Nan Woodman

"Dive below the waves for a fascinating view of the secret lives of humpback whales with the National Geographic Critter Cam. Nan Woodman will speak about her experience on a Critter Cam expedition in Alaska and share spectacular footage from a whale calf’s perspective deep in the ocean. 

Nan Woodman is a naturalist, designer, artist, creative thinker and entrepreneur. She is an author and illustrator for National Geographic Trade and Schoolbook divisions, and a team member on numerous scientific expeditions.
