I’m excited to announce a new event happening on May 28th, titled ‘The Art of Science: Pressing Marine Greens.’
You may have pressed flowers, but have you ever pressed seaweed? Join Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife biologist Nam Sui as he guides us through the fascinating biology of local seaweeds and seagrasses and the art of seaweed pressing. Participants are invited to sip on locally brewed beer and kombucha with friends and family while engaging in this educational art-science workshop.
- When: Tuesday May 28th, 6-8:30pm
- Where: Crane’s Castle Brewing, 1550 NE Riddell Rd #180, Bremerton, WA 98310 (all ages welcome)
- What: Create your own coastal art while learning about the seaweeds that surround us. Once your artwork is pressed and dried, you will receive your masterpiece by mail.
SPACE IS LIMITED, SO REGISTER TODAY! Learn more and register at: http://bit.ly/Seaweedpressing. Help us spread the word with the attached flyer (both PDF and jpg formats). This event is made possible through partnership with WSU Kitsap County Extension, WA Department of Fish and Wildlife, SEA Discovery Center, and Crane’s Castle Brewing.
